Granville Island was such a fun spot in Vancouver. It reminded me a lot of Seattle’s Pike Place (without the fog), with its huge market area, beautiful views, food stands, and interesting shops. If you got there early enough (and not even that early — more like 9-10am), parking is free and plentiful.

Grouse Mountain // Vancouver, Canada
Grouse Mountain was one of the best spots to visit in Vancouver. Sure, people call it a tourist trap (although we barely saw anyone there)… and sure, there are probably better mountains that the locals visit instead… but as people who just wanted to see the view and not snowboard or dangle on cliffs, it was perfect for us. Plus, the ski lifts!!! As is obvious below, I was obsessed with them. (My husband was less than enthused about them, but at my dogged persistance, agreed to go on them anyway. That’s love.)
Snapshots of the city // Vancouver, Canada
Finally, months later, I am starting to process pictures from our trip to Vancouver last year. Such a beautiful city — so clean, walkable, and full of so much to see. And a surprising amount of Japanese restaurants.
