A trip to SF MOMA

We went to the SF MOMA in January to see the Henri Cartier-Bresson exhibit (which was just brilliant, truly), with a secondary agenda item of seeing the mondrian cake. The time was just not right to get said cake, but when J. got a free year-long membership to MoMA a few weeks ago, I knew it was time to go back and snap some pics. So this time, we went purely to get this cake. Sadly, the Cartier-Bresson exhibit was over (as was the entire 2nd and 3rd floor), so there wasn’t anything new to see.

But at least we got to try the cake. And of course, it wound up being all style over substance — rather bland. But the coffee (which was Blue Bottle — so good) was the perfect complement to wash it down.

  1. so gorgeously processed! very pretty set. esp love the 2nd one (the BW one) and 3rd one. Too bad the cake was bland, cuz it certainly looked stylish =) i really want to visit SF MOMA the next time i’m there. all that talk i’ve been hearing about blue bottle coffee has made me craving for it!

  2. Great shots of the Moma. I actually did get a chance to see the Cartier-Bresson exhibit this year. I took a day off just to go. I tell you, I could have stared for hours at every single photo. Oh, and the blue bottle was good too of course…I’m getting a membership just to visit that cafe!

I remember that large portrait of the lady with the white shirt. It was an impressive image up close wasn’t it? A real stunner. I enjoyed your post! =)
