Portland: Sunday part 1

On Sunday, we walked across town to visit the Saturday Market (which is also held on Sundays), a collection of 300+ vendors. I thought it’d be like a gigantic farmer’s market, but instead, it was more like an art faire, where there were food vendors and local artists. It was something that was so hyped up for me that it became a bit of a let-down when we got there. It was hot, very crowded, and nothing particularly interesting there — with the exception of elephant ears, which I had never heard of, but are apparently a local treat.

We got something to eat there, and then walked south along the Willamette River. I’ll post pics from the later part of the day in my next entry.
