Rumored to be one of President Bill Clinton’s favorite places to visit while his daughter was attending Stanford, St. Michael’s Alley offers an incredible weekend brunch menu. Their pancakes — cinnamon, pear, and cinnamon whipped cream — were the best I’ve ever had. (But we will definitely be going back and try their famous “blue monkey” pancakes, made from blueberries and bananas.)
Posting this a bit early, but hope you all have a good weekend! Happy Friday!

Great photos! Looks wonderful!
Jacqueline, that first photo is utter perfection. 1.4?? :)
Thank you both!
@ Lucent: Yes, 1.4 — but it’s on a full frame, so the DOF is probably more equivalent to f/1.0 or .9 on a cropped camera, you know?
yummy! look at those pancakes!!!! did you guys draw anything with those crayons?
very nice buttery bokeh on the first one!
Delicious. Both photos and food.

Oh goodness. I’m dying over here. I’m such a sucker for breakfast. And breakfast photos don’t help my issues.

Oh I love this Jacqueline. You somehow find the most amazing restaurants that have the cutest condiments lol. And those pancakes sound delicious. Love the photos of this place. Great post.
