A weekend in Carmel-by-the-Sea: La Bicyclette

I must admit, I knew we’d be going to this restaurant solely based on its name, La Bicyclette. They had a bicycle outside with a cute basket, and copper pots hanging from the ceiling! Who could resist that?

  1. I live about 30 minutes from Carmel and I’ve never been to this little gem. It looks marvelous and your pictures are amazing. I love the first one.

  2. Oh my, it looks like the most perfect restaurant on earth. Bicyclette is my favorite word in Italian.

  3. Thanks to you both!

@ Maren: Only 30 minutes away? Then you should definitely try it! :) Just be sure to make a reservation if you’re going for dinner; they got so booked!

  4. Have just caught up on your Carmel posts. Oh so beautiful. You have taken so many stunning photos! I know I’ve said it before, but you’re reminding me of all the places we’re yet to visit in California.

  5. sooooooo cute. and so yummy looking!

  6. That looks like such a cute place. You made me want to go to Carmel. Now I just need to convince my boyfriend who told me he finds it very overrated.

  8. Wow, sounds like me. On my honeymoon I requested to go to a restaurant in Victoria (Canada), named The Pink Bicycle upon seeing the cute bike parked out front with flowers in the basket. At least we know what we like!
I wrote about it here http://www.maybethisdoor.com/2010/09/free-magazine.html

  9. My husband and I honeymooned in Carmel. We have a fun photo of our reflections in front of La Bicyclette. We didn’t eat there though. I wish we had!
